Earlier this year, Xiaomi teased the launch of its newest flagship. To get us “excited,” it revealed that a new series would soon be added to its lineup—tthe Xiaomi 13 series.
We now have more information about what these devices will offer in terms of specs, color options, and RAM and storage configurations. Ishan Agarwal says it will be possible to purchase the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro in 8/128GB, 8/256GB, 12/256GB, and 12/512GB trims. UFS 3.1 storage will be available on the 8/128GB entry-level models, while UFS 4.0 will be available on all other versions. LPDDR5X RAM is confirmed to be available on every phone.
There will be a limited edition color option for the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. The Mi 13, on the other hand, will come with a ceramic back panel to differentiate it from the flagship series.
The rumor suggests that Xiaomi is still deciding what chipset to use for its octa-core Xiaomi 13 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor). Still, it’s confirmed that the device will be outfitted with at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of onboard storage.
Xiaomi is said to be preparing a total of four color options. In contrast to Wilderness Green, Distant Mountain Blue will have a leather-backed finish. Ceramic Black and Ceramic White are the two more leaked color possibilities.
It will probably have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that will offer an FHD+ resolution, equivalent to an aspect ratio of 19.25:9.
The camera will include a 54MP Sony IMX800 primary camera sensor with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide OmniVision OV13B sensor that brings a 10MP Samsung S5K3K1 telephoto module with 3.2x optical zoom for rear snappers. It is expected to feature an LED flash.
The 4,500 mAh battery and 67W wired and 50W wireless charging will also be featured in the smaller Xiaomi 13. The Xiaomi 13 Pro will probably include a 4,820 mAh battery with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
The launch date is still not confirmed. But it will probably be announced in the first half of 2023.
