As a leading smartphone brand in India and the global market, we have been listening to your feedback and incorporating it into everything we do. Over the years, MIUI has evolved from merely a ROM to a comprehensive lifestyle platform, with MIUI 14 being our next step on this journey. It’s more than just an update—iit’s the next evolution of MIUI!
The all-new Xiaomi Series 13 is set to go on sale on December 1, while the new MIUI will launch on that date as well. This means that all sets of Xiaomi phones will be updated to MIUI 14. This is excellent news for people who have been waiting a long time to upgrade their phones because of previous delayed updates. Xiaomi stated on Weibo that the debut of the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro, and MIUI 14 upgrade in China would take place on December 1 at 7 p.m. Beijing time (6 a.m. ET).
The brand new MIUI 14 will have many more features, like the ability to install apps outside of the Google Play Store or the Mobile Data Alerts feature that tells if you are using too much data or are about to hit your limit. There are also some “new” shortcuts added with the new update, such as double tapping to wake it up.
Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, published an official rendering of the Xiaomi 13, which would feature a flat OLED screen with 1.61 mm thick bezels on the top and sides and 1.81 mm thick bezels on the bottom. At the launch event on Thursday, Xiaomi said it would also introduce the Watch S2 smartwatch, the Xiaomi Buds 4 TWS headphones, its first desktop computer, a new Wi-Fi router, and a projector.
The device will run on a Snapdragon 820 Gen 2 processor. It has been said that the Mi 13 will also have an OLED screen with a diamond pentile matrix.
More details are yet to come, and we will update you as soon as more information is received.
