While there is no update for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is said to have a new telephoto sensor, allowing you to take 3x optically zoomed photos with great details and less noise. The update was announced on Twitter by tipper Ice Universe, who also suggested that the primary camera might not change much or perhaps see minor adjustments.
He tweeted, “The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to replace the telephoto sensor and adopt a new solution. I think the primary camera will remain the same or be slightly changed. Although Ice Universe doesn’t expressly state which telephoto sensor is involved, we believe it to be the periscope zoom. The renewal might cover both that and the 3x zoom module.
While it has been speculated that the incoming S23 Ultra will maintain the same zooming hardware as its predecessor, the S22 Ultra, the image quality is expected to be enhanced by improved color science and “AI algorithms.” By the way, that data originated from the same Ice Universe.
