Tecno Phantom X2 India Launch Date and Specs Revealed
Tecno has officially announced the India launch of the Phantom X2 5G, and pre-booking and the first sale date are already in sight. The Tecno Phantom X2 5G is on the cusp of its India launch, with a release date set for January 2023. This will be followed by an initial sale date of January 9.
The phone will be officially announced in India on January 2, 2023, and pre-orders will start on Amazon. The newly announced Tecno Phantom X2 5G comes with an impressive feature list and a spec sheet that is even more impressive after the launch of the company’s other two Phantom series smartphones. We have already seen a couple of teasers and leaks for it earlier.
It will feature a 6.8-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED curved-edge display with a display fingerprint scanner and facial recognition. The front of the device also has a 32MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and 2.5D glass protection. It is powered by an HiOS 12-based Android 12 OS and mated to a whopping 8GB of RAM coupled with 256GB of internal storage, while a massive 5160mAh battery powers the smartphone.
The camera department is another remarkable aspect of the device, as it will feature a 64-megapixel (primary) + 13-megapixel (ultra-wide) + 2-megapixel triple camera unit, which is quite similar to the one found on the Tecno Camon X Pro. It also comes with Gorilla Glass VI protection, a fingerprint sensor, and a splash-resistant design.
The 64-megapixel primary camera unit on the Phantom X2 5G comes with an f/1.7 aperture, Pro mode, and AI beauty recognition with Smart Scene Recognition and AI Portrait Cam, an ultra-wide angle lens (123°) offering an F/2.4 aperture for detailed landscapes and macro-photography, and a Depth Lens for beautiful bokeh effects. The rear cameras will be capable of shooting 4K videos at 30 fps, 1080p videos at 120 fps, slow-motion video recording (960 fps), and super slow-motion video recording at 720p resolution.
The Phantom X2 costs SAR 2,700 (about $717; Rs 59,350) in Saudi Arabia. The X2’s price for the Indian market is unknown. However, it’s expected to be near Rs. 25,000. This hypothetical price is based on the Phantom X’s debut price for the first generation. It will be available in grey and silver color options.
