The Redmi Note 12 series has recently been teased in India by Redmi. Soon, the company will reveal the Note 12 lineup’s launch date in India. Rather than keeping the release date of their next edition of the Redmi Note series a secret, there is speculation and hinting from Redmi that it will release on December 23.
These rumors have been confirmed by tipster Abhishek Yadav, who tweeted about an Indian launch event scheduled for the same date. He stated that the information might not be valid because it came from a new source.
On Xiaomi India’s website, the company has already made the landing page for the Note 12 series live. However, there is a hidden link in the source code of this page that reveals that the device is called the Redmi Note 12 Pro.
According to the teaser on the website, the company may release up to three handsets, similar to the Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+, which were unveiled in China in October.
Specifications
In the first teaser, a Redmi Note 12 5G Series is shown with Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chip in the base variant and a Dimensity 1080 SoC in Pro Models with a minimum of 128GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, indicating it could be a flagship smartphone. The device will be available in two color options: black and blue.
It will have a 6.67-inch OLED display with a waterdrop notch, giving it a screen-to-body ratio of 90.2%. It will have a dual camera setup, with the rear camera being 48 megapixels, while the Pro+ has a 200-megapixel primary camera with OIS support.
The fast charging capacities of Note 12, Note 12 Pro, and Note 12 Pro+ are 33 W, 67 W, and 120 W, respectively. The three devices share the same 5,000 mAh battery, UFS 2.2 storage, and LPDDR4X RAM.
It will come pre-installed with MIUI 13—a version of Android 12—with Face ID and fingerprint scanner integration. The device could be running MIUI 13-based Android 12 for the Indian market, but there are no official confirmations from Xiaomi yet.
