An upcoming Realme phone, likely the GT Neo 5, has been leaked with many technical specs and features. Digital Chat Station on Weibo highlighted the Realme GT Neo 5’s key features.
The Realme GT Neo 5 retains a similar appearance to the company’s other models but boasts several key improvements. The 240-watt charging in as little as 10 minutes is one of the main features that sets this phone apart from its competitors. It also has an SD8+ Gen 1 chip, RGB lights, and a 6.7-inch display with 2772 x 1240 pixel resolution in an 18:9 aspect ratio. There is no mention yet of this model’s price, release date, or if it will be released outside of China.
It will have a 144 Hz refresh rate and 2160 Hz PWM dimming, which helps save battery life. It will have an in-display fingerprint sensor and attractive new gesture controls. The screen will have a 3D Touch module with full-screen gestures that can be used once the user learns to use them properly. It seems this will be more than just a gimmick and could become popular in China, where some users rely on gestures more than keys when using their cell phones.
The Realme GT Neo 5 will have two cameras on the front and back, one a 50MP Sony IMX890, which supports OIS and is paired with a 25mm lens with an f/1.79 aperture. It will have a 16-megapixel front camera for amazing selfies.
It will be built on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, has 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. This phone will have Bluetooth 5.0 and support 60GHz WiFi bands. It has an IP68 water resistance rating for full-day use against splashes, rain, and dust.
The device will come in two variants, one of which will offer 150W fast wired charging and a 5,000mAh battery. The other device will have a smaller 4,600 mAh battery but support the SUPERVOOC flash charging standard, which is considerably quicker.
Some of the other critical specs leaked include: It will have a Dual SIM dual standby support, 3-way reception, VDSL2/ADSL2+, 4G LTE Cat.16 with Qualcomm X20 LTE modem and Qualcomm AI Engine w/ Cat.12 and 5G SA/ NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 6 802.11 axes (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS (L1 + L5)/ GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C.
Overall, this upcoming phone is one of the more potent in its class and uses interesting screen technology to back it up. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
Let us wait and see if these devices will be able to compete with other devices on the market. Meanwhile, you can check out their current offerings.
