It’s finally happening! Realme has announced the launch date for their latest smartphone, the Realme GT Neo5. This new release will offer a number of upgrades and innovations to combat market competitors such as Huawei, Samsung, etc. Realme said it would present its most recent flash charging technology at a communication meeting on January 5.
But one of the most prominent headline features is its dual 240W fast charging via its USB Type-C port. This is a game changer for the industry, and it’s good news if you’re looking for a new smartphone that offers short battery life but doesn’t compromise on quality performance or aesthetics. On January 5 at 14:30, a presentation on new “leapfrog” technology that claims to offer a cross-age flash charging experience will be held.
As stated earlier, two variants of the Realme GT Neo5 are expected: the low-end model will have 240W wired flash charging and a 4600mAh battery, while the high-end model will have 150W wired moment charging and a 5000mAh battery.
The device will have a 6.7-inch display, a 1.5K display with a resolution of 2772x1240p, a 144Hz refresh rate, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and a 3.2GHz first-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ processor, which is up to 40% faster than the previous generation. It will also have a 50Mp IMX890 primary camera, and also in addition to these, it will have dual speakers, a fingerprint sensor, and a face unlock feature. Other features include MIL-STD 810G durability, Active Edge, NFC, and USB Type-C ports with support for fast charging.
It will also have optical image stabilization (OIS) paired with a professional-level dual-tone LED flash, HDR video recording at 30 fps, and 4K video recording at 30 fps. This certainly sounds like the best bang for the Chinese buck smartphone.
The fast charging technology is the best part of this new smartphone, so it will be interesting to see how it stacks up against other flagship smartphones. With the release date set for January 5, we should be able to get our hands on one pretty soon.
