It’s finally here! The day that fans of Realme GT 3 have been waiting for has arrived. We now know the launch timeline for the company’s global flagship phone, the Realme GT 3. Previously we had speculated that it would hit markets in late July, but Realme confirmed yesterday and inspecting their display models (see below), we can ensure that it will be launching on February 28th!
Moreover, according to our reliable source within the company who wishes to remain anonymous, there was also discussion about a possible China-exclusive version featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and a different design from what was initially shown. The phone will support 240W charging, a substantial step from current industry standards. The Realme GT 3 will also launch in China, according to recent information released by Realme China President Xu Qi on Weibo. The smartphone will be distinct from the international model, though.
An undisclosed chip with a single-core score of 1930 and a multi-core score of 6236 was discovered on Geekbench 5 earlier this month. Though the the chipset is not yet confirmed, it might be fitted with the brand-new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. The next Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 could be produced by TSMC using a 3nm manufacturing process, whereas the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a 4nm chip. According to reports, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC will have a new 1+5+2 cluster configuration, meaning it will have one Prime Core and five performance cores.
More specs are not yet confirmed, but it might feature a 6.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will come equipped with at least 6GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage, a expected 6300mAh battery, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Other features may include dual rear cameras, USB OTG function, wireless charging, NFC functionality, an in-display microphone that rivals OnePlus’s implementation, Android 13 out of the box, and more.
The camera specifications are not yet confirmed, but we can expect a similar setup to what is seen on the OPPO Find X, meaning it will have a pop-up front-facing camera that contains the IMX 286 sensor. The camera will be supported by DualPixel autofocus technology and optical image stabilization. The camera may also include an AI-powered supercharge mode, which will deliver up to 20 times the capture speed of normal modes.
The Realme GT 3 will be available in black, white, and Purple colors. Pricing of the phone has not been announced, but will cost less than USD 600 in all markets where it eventually gets launched, according to another anonymous source who wishes to remain unnamed.
Let us wait for the official launch and update details on February 28th, 2023.
