Realme is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer established in 2015, having made a name for itself with incredible value for money and affordable prices. Realme is set to launch its new phone series next week in China. It is confirmed that the Realme 10 Pro+ 5G will have a curved display.
It will be the first product in the brand’s number series lineup to have curved edges that are 61 degrees inwardly bent. The critical question is whether these specifications will apply to both Pro devices or whether the Pro+ will be the only one to receive flagship-level functionality.
The curved screen is the main selling point of this device. It will probably have a 6.8-inch AMOLED Full HD+ display and a 19:5:9 aspect ratio with 2.5D curved glass on top. The screen resolution can be 1080 x 2340 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 402 PPI, while the display will be stretched out to the corners thanks to the almost nonexistent side bezels that are barely 1 mm thick.
The display will provide a never-before-seen experience of using a smartphone with a curved display. A Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection layer will protect the display from accidental drops and scratches and be curved for better screen protection. It’s unclear whether Realme decided to include a regular flat or curved glass protection layer, but we bet that it will be comfortable for your hands due to the slight curve.
As we near the launch date, more information surfaces on what you can expect from this phone of a new era. First is detailed info on its screen module; we got some screen specs for the Realme 10 Pro+. It will probably have a Mediatek Dimensity 1080 SoC chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which is best for gaming.
We then have some critical specs on the battery part of its build: the Realme 10 Pro+ 5GKey is equipped with a 5,000 mAh battery. It will have 13×8.5mm dimensions with sloping edges on both sides to give that curve display a slight edge on the phone’s front face. It will also support 67W fast charging, which offers a full day of battery life with just a few minutes of charging.
In addition to the above specifications, we’ve also learned about other minor upgrades to the phone, including being IP68 certified for dust and water resistance and having the X-Touch anti-accidental touch algorithm. It will probably rub on Android 13 out of the box.
Realme asserts that the smartphone’s 2.33mm thin chin was made possible by the company’s specially designed COP Ultra packaging procedure. The Realme 10 Pro+ uses a new 5G network and is equipped with unique cooling technology to ensure optimal performance when using the 5G network.
There is no other information available on the phone. Still, when the detailed press launch takes place, we’ll probably learn more about its cameras, display resolution and size, RAM, storage, and other features. We can say that it will be a powerful device with a great design and some exciting features.
