The OPPO A78 5G is ready for you, and it’s more potent than ever before—even in its slimmer form factor (the phone is now just 4 mm thin! ), making it perfect for any occasion. The device has a 90Hz display, 50-megapixel dual cameras, and a high-density 700 chip. This mid-range smartphone is ideal for any user who worries about their photos not being sharp enough.

The 90Hz screen refresh rate has been a critical feature in our high-end line, and the company will bring this technology to its mid-range flagship phone. It also has 8GB of  LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage, which can be supplemented with a microSD card. It also comes with ColorOS 13, based on Android 13, and Face Unlock 2.0.

The camera specs are good, but not the best. It contains a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 50-megapixel primary camera with variable aperture (f/1.7), a 1/2.8′′ sensor size, PDAF, and an LED flash. The front camera is a 16-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 aperture and features real-time bokeh effects.

The starting price of the OPPO A78 5G is Rs 18,999 (about $233). Pre-orders for the gadget are currently being accepted on Amazon India and the OPPO India website.

Should you buy this device?

Yes, as a mid-range smartphone, it’s pretty good. The display is crisp, and the colors are bright, making it easy to view images and videos. The device is also responsive to touch and makes for a great workhorse, especially if you’re working remotely. The battery life can last quite a while, depending on your usage.

The cameras are excellent, but don’t get us wrong—they’re not going to take pictures like flagship devices! It has all the features you’d expect from a high-end smartphone, such as a good camera and a fingerprint sensor.
