Xiaomi will reportedly launch the 13 Pro this year during China’s annual product event. It is worth noting that even though Xiaomi will be releasing its next flagship phone under the “13” series, it is not confirmed if it will also be called such. However, there have been previous reports suggesting some alleged features of this upcoming device and specifications that are expected to appear when unveiled next month.
The pictures demonstrate a significant modification of the camera module. The 13 Pro is more squarish than the 12 Pro, which features a vertically rectangular camera module design. The leak says the Xiaomi 13 Pro will come with a hole-punch display. The leaked image published by some websites shows the front of what appears to be a prototype for a possible upcoming device by Xiaomi. The phone has a hole-punch screen and comes with what could be considered an edge-to-edge display. It is said to arrive in four colors– pink, blue, silver, and gold.
The leak added that the device would feature a 6.7-inch E6 AMOLED display that supports a 120Hz refresh rate and has a 2K resolution. It was also rumored that this phone model would not feature any physical buttons, but users might be able to use onscreen navigation controls instead.
The phone might have a 50MP SonyIMX989 as a primary camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto camera. The 13 Pro will have a 32MP front camera sensor for taking selfies. The device has a prominent camera bump on the back, which is expected to help reduce wobble and unintentional tremors while taking photos.
The 13 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and will come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage, although it is still not confirmed if such a model will be released in the first place.
The camera’s quality will be supported by AI technology that will supposedly make the camera more intelligent and useful for photography enthusiasts. A 4,800 mAh battery is expected to be on board, and it will probably support 120W fast charging, which is expected to charge the battery from 0 to 50 percent in just 10 minutes. However, whether the company will offer such functionality to consumers is still unknown.
The device will reportedly sport a USB Type-C port. A leaked image shows that there is no front earpiece grill located at the top of the phone. Instead, there are two small holes at the top left corner.
While the details mentioned above regarding the specifications of this phone are still not confirmed, some rumors suggest that it might also feature a 5G variant. However, nothing has been officially announced yet. So, wait for the official announcement to learn more about the device.
