Asus has taken the wraps off its ROG Phone 6, offering gamers a chance to get their hands on the next-gen smartphone. Asus has taken over the gaming phone market with this device in the form of a Diablo Immortal Edition model. If gamers are interested in picking up this new creation, they will be required to pick it up at retail later this month, but they can pre-order it now online at the Asus store.
The new device is an extension of the Asus Republic of Gamers brand and includes all manner of heat-up and cooling technology to offer ergonomic comfort for extended gaming. A 3D vapor chamber in the back allows for a rapid boiling point while two fans in the front blow cool air onto your face, blowing more than 40% more air than other devices do.
This new device is built for mobile gamers and includes an 18:9 AMOLED display, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 512GB of UFS 3.1 storage space, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Gen 1 processor. The phone also features dual cameras on both sides of the device and comes with a 5,000 mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 4+ charging.
The phone can also include a “tri-gaming” mode that automatically optimizes performance based on what sort of game you’re playing; this should make it easier to identify what settings you need to tweak in an effort to improve your performance. The Hellfire Red semi-matte finish on the back and the memorable Aura RGB logo with Diablo Immortal graphics are features of the Diablo Immortal ROG Phone 6.
Fans of the series should be familiar with the Horadic Cube-like package that the ROG Phone 6 Diablo Immortal will come in. A tiny red box replicating the Worldstone shard, a legendary in-game artifact, is inside. There is a King Fahir light torch and a special map scroll of the Sanctuary world. Additionally, buyers receive a unique Diablo emblem SIM ejector tool and a limited edition Shield Blessing Aero Case bumper.
The performance of this phone should be worth a look as well. It comes with Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 platform, which provides 5G’s mobile debut. The pricing of this device is not confirmed yet, but we can expect it to be around $429 in the U.S.
